Position Overview

Provides management and leadership and collaborates to ensure compliance with federal and state privacy laws and regulations, and the organization's privacy policies and procedures. Is responsible for planning, executing, and managing a variety of regulatory, investigative, and educational based projects as an integral member of Sutter Health's privacy program; manages and conducts investigations on regulatory matters and concerns; conducts detailed analysis of current regulatory requirements and provides briefings; and is responsible for drafting and responding to regulatory inquiries.

Job Description

The person selected for this role must live in the Santa Barbara area and come on site to Santa Barata and surrounding facilities as needed for work, meetings, etc.

Education

Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.

Bachelor's: Legal Studies, Information Management/Security, Computer Science, Business or Healthcare Administration or related field or equivalent education/experience

Certification & Licensure

CHPC-Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance within 1 Year of hire.

Typical Experience

8 years of recent relevant experience.

Pay Range is $64.84 to $97.26 / hour

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
