The Eugene Water & Electric Board (EWEB) is looking for a highly motivated Continuous Improvement (CI) Analyst to join our high-performing team. This role is an exciting opportunity for a process improvement professional who is passionate about driving operational excellence and delivering impactful, sustainable improvements across the organization.

The CI Analyst will lead, coach, and support improvement efforts across all areas of the utility. This role combines process analysis, facilitation, coaching, and training to promote a consistent and lasting approach to organizational improvement. EWEB will fill this position at the CI Analyst II or CI Analyst Senior level, depending upon the successful candidate’s demonstrated level of experience.


The CI Analyst at EWEB will:

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of continuous improvement projects.
  • Build strong working relationships with staff and stakeholders at all levels across the utility to understand workflows and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Facilitate, coach, and lead process improvement activities within and across teams such as process mapping, root cause analysis, brainstorming, 8 Wastes and other appropriate CI methodologies.
  • Analyze data to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency, develop recommendations, and present summary findings to variety of stakeholders.
  • Lead and facilitate formal and informal training, coaching, and mentoring sessions to build internal CI capabilities.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of standardized documentation (procedures, checklists, templates).
  • Demonstrate high-level thinking and a broad perspective of organizational improvement efforts to support identification and resolution of organizational challenges.
  • Implement best practices and appropriate tools to drive efficiency, effectiveness, and innovation.

The successful candidate will have knowledge of and demonstrated experience in applying CI principles, practices, and tools. They will show initiative, be resourceful, detail-oriented, a self-starter, team-focused, and have strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders. In addition, they will:

  • Excel in independent work, but also as a member of a highly collaborative team.
  • Be experienced in working with Visio, Lucidchart, Figma, Miro, or similar process mapping tools.
  • Demonstrate intermediate level or higher skills in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

The starting hourly wage for this position, based on job level, is commensurate with the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, education, and experience as relates to the position.

Continuous Improvement Analyst II: $89,605 - $112,106

Continuous Improvement Analyst Senior: $103,821 - $129,777

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Equivalency: EWEB will consider an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience when reviewing applications. Candidates who do not meet all of the minimum qualifications but whose application materials demonstrate the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to be successful in the position are encouraged to apply.


Continuous Improvement Analyst II:

  • Four (4) years of experience in process improvement, data analysis, or related functions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, industrial engineering, or a related field.

Continuous Improvement Analyst Senior:

  • Five (5) years of progressive experience in process improvement, data analysis, or related functions. Experience developing and leading related training.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, industrial engineering, or a related field.

Recommended Education, Experience, Training, & Certifications:

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher
  • Coursework or experience in project management
  • Exposure to Change Management principles and methodologies

WORK LOCATION

This position is based in Eugene, Oregon, and has been approved for hybrid work arrangement involving a combination of telecommuting and working on-site at EWEB offices. The selected candidate must live in the state of Oregon.
