Junior Industrial Engineer - #1405190

About The Role

Veho is seeking a driven and detail oriented Junior Industrial Engineer to join our Operational Excellence team. In this role, you will play a key part in standardizing and optimizing our delivery operations by leveraging industrial engineering principles, design and analysis. You will be responsible for CAD layout modeling, engineered labor standard creation and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality across our hubs and delivery sites.

Responsibilities Include

• Collaborate with Ground Operations to update site layouts via CAD to model hypothetical volumes and equipment needs.
• Conduct time studies to establish: role rates, process path rates and hourly capacities for stakeholder inputs.
• Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in package sorting, loading, and unloading processes.
• Develop and implement process improvement solutions using Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
• Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Develop and maintain performance metrics to track the effectiveness of implemented solutions.
• Collaborate with operations personnel at all levels to ensure effective implementation of improvements.
  
  

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 0-3 years of experience in a logistics environment.
• Experience utilizing Computer Aided Design (CAD) to create the layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency
• Experience in applying industrial engineering principles (e.g. Time Studies / MOST)
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate across departments.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Experience in automated package sortation is a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%, business needs can fluctuate.
