We are looking for a motivated full-time high school or college student who would be interested in an internship within our Trico Warehouse. In this position the intern will perform activities related to receiving, issuing, storing, organizing and controlling warehouse inventory in accordance with established practices.

This position is designed for full-time students who are returning to a full-time course of instruction at a high school, community college, or university for the following semester. The Intern Program runs for 10 -12 weeks during the summer. This is a full time (6:00AM to 2:30PM) paid internship position.

Essential Functions

  • Assist with warehouse functions including but not limited to:
    • Receive, issue, store and organize all material used in the daily operation of the cooperative.
    • Assist with physical inventory and warehouse controls.
    • Interact with and maintain good business relations with outside suppliers, contractors, and internal customers.
  • Assist with the materials, yard organization and helps maintain weed control in the yard.
  • Performs other duties as required and/or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications

  • Full-time student at a High School, Community College or University.
  • Must have a current valid AZ state driver’s license.
  • Ability to understand and follow written procedures and oral instructions.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision once procedures are learned.
  • Ability to work effectively with other employees to obtain goals and meet objectives.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

This position is predominantly performed in a warehouse and outdoor materials yard environment, occasionally will be in an air-conditioned professional office environment. The warehouse is often dusty and dirty, and the yard is outdoors, and this position will include exposure to environmental conditions (hot, cold, and inclement weather), fumes or airborne particles, running equipment, and loud noises. This position requires the ability to stand and walk for long periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
