Description

We are looking for a Marketing Developer with strong engineering expertise to build, integrate, and optimize our marketing technology stack. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining marketing automation systems, customer data platforms (CDPs), API integrations, and web tracking solutions—ensuring seamless data flow, scalability, and performance. This role bridges marketing and engineering, requiring both technical depth and an understanding of digital marketing strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Marketing Automation & CDP Engineering
  • Develop and maintain marketing automation workflows (HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot) using scripting and API calls.
  • Architect and optimize customer data platforms (CDPs) (Segment, mParticle, Salesforce CDP) for real-time data processing.
  • Build data pipelines between CRM (Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics), CDPs, and analytics platforms.
  • API & Backend Integrations
  • Design, develop, and maintain RESTful & GraphQL API integrations between marketing tools, databases, and third-party services.
  • Work with serverless functions (AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions) and middleware (Workato, Zapier) for automation.
  • Implement OAuth, webhooks, and real-time data syncs to ensure system interoperability.
  • Web Tracking & Tag Management Engineering
  • Architect and deploy Google Tag Manager (GTM) setups with custom JavaScript, data layers, and event tracking.
  • Develop server-side tagging solutions (Google Tag Manager Server-side, Tealium EventStream) for improved performance & privacy compliance.
  • Debug and optimize front-end tracking (Meta Pixel, Google Analytics 4, Adobe Analytics) using browser DevTools and analytics validators.
  • Data Engineering & Analytics Support
  • Write SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift).
  • Build ETL processes (Python, Node.js) to cleanse and sync marketing data.
  • Collaborate with analytics teams to ensure accurate attribution modeling and data governance.

Technical Requirements

Programming & Scripting Languages

  • JavaScript (ES6+) – for front-end tracking, GTM custom scripts, and API interactions.
  • Python / Node.js – for backend integrations, data processing, and automation.
  • SQL – for querying databases and building data models.
  • HTML/CSS – for troubleshooting web tracking and email template adjustments.

Platforms & Tools

  • Marketing Automation: HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot (certifications a plus).
  • CDP & Data Pipelines: Segment, mParticle, Salesforce CDP, RudderStack.
  • APIs & Middleware: Postman, Workato, MuleSoft, Zapier.
  • Cloud & DevOps: AWS (Lambda, S3), Google Cloud, Docker (basic knowledge helpful).
  • Analytics & Tracking: Google Analytics 4, GTM, Adobe Analytics, Meta CAPI.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years in marketing technology, marketing engineering, or full-stack development.
  • Experience with headless CMS, CDNs, and edge computing for performance optimization.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for marketing tech deployments.
  • Familiarity with privacy engineering (GDPR, CCPA, cookie consent management).
