- Art Teacher
- The New Bedford Public Schools is seeking a full time Visual Art Teacher to complement our growing team of arts educators.
- Be a creative and innovative educator with a philosophy that all students can demonstrate artistic skills and habits of mind
- Have strengths in arts integration and visual thinking skills, possess knowledge of various movements, styles and world cultures' art.
- Educators should have positive classroom management techniques, be responsive to student diversity, enjoy working in an urban setting and work well with colleagues, administrators and parents.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills with colleagues, administrators and parents
- Licensed by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
- A demonstrated belief that each and every student can achieve at high levels.
- A demonstrated dedication to lifelong learning, reflection, and continued personal and professional growth.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Reports to: School Principal
- Rate: In accordance with the Unit A contract found here
