Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, or upper-level math courses based on school needs and licensure.
- Use data to inform instruction, provide feedback, and drive student growth and achievement.
- Differentiate lessons to meet the diverse academic and social-emotional needs of learners.
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom culture that fosters student agency, inquiry, and resilience.
- Encourage mathematical discourse and critical thinking through collaborative tasks and real-world application.
- Actively participate in collaborative planning, professional development, and the school’s LEAP learning cycles.
- Communicate regularly with families to support student learning and growth.
- A passionate educator who believes in the potential of every student.
- Strong instructional planning and execution aligned to the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics.
- Skilled at building relationships and fostering a growth mindset in students.
- Experience or interest in Project-Based Learning (PBL) and culturally responsive teaching practices.
- Comfort using formative assessment data to guide instruction and intervention.
- An equity-driven mindset with a commitment to anti-racist, inclusive practices.
- Reflective, coachable, and eager to grow as a practitioner.
