Math Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and reflective Math Teacher to join our team of committed educators. The ideal candidate brings content expertise, a student-centered approach, and a belief that all students can achieve at high levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, or upper-level math courses based on school needs and licensure.
  • Use data to inform instruction, provide feedback, and drive student growth and achievement.
  • Differentiate lessons to meet the diverse academic and social-emotional needs of learners.
  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom culture that fosters student agency, inquiry, and resilience.
  • Encourage mathematical discourse and critical thinking through collaborative tasks and real-world application.
  • Actively participate in collaborative planning, professional development, and the school’s LEAP learning cycles.
  • Communicate regularly with families to support student learning and growth.

  • Strong instructional planning and execution aligned to the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics.
  • Skilled at building relationships and fostering a growth mindset in students.
  • Experience or interest in Project-Based Learning (PBL) and culturally responsive teaching practices.
  • Comfort using formative assessment data to guide instruction and intervention.
  • An equity-driven mindset with a commitment to anti-racist, inclusive practices.
  • Reflective, coachable, and eager to grow as a practitioner.
