Job Summary
The Manufacturing Engineer develops and implements optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications, and customer, quality, and aerospace standards. Recommends and implements improvements to production and transactional processes, methods and controls. Coordinates manufacturing launch for new or revised products. Priorities include process improvement, problem resolution, project management, and employee training. Applies Lean manufacturing methods to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Note: The primary differences between job levels tie to skill level, complexity of the problem solving, and years of experience. Job assignments will be based on experience, job opening and budget availability, and the performance level of the incumbent.

Salary Range Transparency: $82,000 - $102,700 annually, depending on candidate qualifications

- Carry out process improvement, problem resolution, project management and employee training.
- Improves manufacturing processes and methods for cost-reduction, quality improvement and efficiency by applying methodologies such as Standardized Work, 5S / Visual Management, Continuous Flow.
- Prepare and present plans for the above and coordinates deployment, including training of team members.
- Perform research, design and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment.
- Analyze and optimize transactional processes, such as production sequencing, material movements/ transactions and inventory control to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Apply Pull and Kanban methods to reduce inventory and lead time.
- Prepare and maintain detailed layouts of building and equipment.
- Coordinate the manufacturing launch of new/revised products including establishing goals, training team members and evaluating results.
- Monitor project tracking status to ensure projects are completed accurately and timely.
- Represent manufacturing on cross-functional teams.
- Maintain a safe, secure and legal work environment, adhering to all Company policies and procedures.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Maintain and protect the confidentiality of the Company’s information and products.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned or requested.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS – Education, Knowledge, and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering degree is required.
- 10+ years of experience with at least 1 year leading or mentoring the work of assigned employees.
- Ability to successfully handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience in understanding a variety of aerospace manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of related software including CATIA, AUTOCAD, and PLM.
- May be asked to work extended or irregular hours as required.
- Must show proof of ability to work in the United States.
