We believe in the bagel and how it has the unique ability to bring people together. Our team has a standard set of values and behaviors that allow us to spread a little more joy and happiness in the world. They let us laugh, smile, and enjoy each other’s company a little more. These are the behaviors that guide how we work, how we treat each other, and how we treat our guests. We believe that there is no better way to make someone’s day than with a warm, fresh-baked bagel and a heart-felt good morning.

Why Join Bagel Brands?

We’ve made it our mission to help others own the morning. We strive to fuel a great day through a craveable and convenient breakfast inspired by our rich bagel tradition, one guest at a time. As we rapidly expand across markets and deepen our guest connections, we're looking for a dynamic Senior Director of Operations Services to help scale the systems, tools, and training that support our bakery teams and power our growth.

We offer full benefits (Medical, dental, vision, HSA/FSA, disability, life insurance), 401k+ company match, self-managed PTO, tuition reimbursement, adoption assistance, EAP, and more! We are targeting $175,000-$220,000 base salary with annual 25% bonus potential. In addition, this role is eligible for an annual $40,000 LTIP. Our office is located at Colorado Blvd. & I-25 in Denver. The schedule is hybrid (3-4 days in office) and also requires 25-30% travel.

Position Mission:

The Senior Director of Operations Services will play a mission-critical role in leading the strategy and execution of all operations support functions across Bagel Brands. This leader will oversee a high-performing team responsible for field operations support, training and development, internal communications, and new bakery openings. The role demands a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on leadership to ensure our growing network of bakeries operates with excellence, consistency, and a culture that reflects our values.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

Operations Services Leadership

  • Lead and develop a team to evolve the Operations Services function to ensure all bakeries are equipped to deliver a consistent and exceptional guest experience across the Bagel Brands portfolio.
  • Develop, execute, and maintain a three-year roadmap for the Operations Services team that enables our bakery operations to consistently deliver on our mission, vision, and values.
  • Partner with executive leadership, operations, marketing, HR, IT, and finance to build and deploy scalable tools, systems, and processes that enable field execution and brand growth.
  • Oversee, evolve, and implement bakery-level tools and systems (e.g., Ops excellence framework, SOPs, playbooks, roles/routines) to ensure streamlined operations and team efficiency.

  • Champion operational consistency while supporting brand-specific nuances across the portfolio.

Training & Development

  • Lead a team to own the development, deployment, and optimization of all in-bakery training programs — from onboarding and role-specific development to leadership training.
  • Leverage a combination of digital and in-bakery learning to support scalability and local execution.
  • Ensure all training aligns with Bagel Brands’ standards for hospitality, food quality, speed, and team culture.

Internal Communications

  • Lead a team to build and execute an effective internal communications strategy that keeps field leaders and bakery teams aligned, informed, and motivated.
  • Ensure all rollouts, promotions, SOP changes, and brand updates are clearly and efficiently communicated to drive field execution and engagement.
  • Champion communication tools and channels that support clarity, consistency, and two-way feedback between field and support teams.

New Store Openings (NSO)

  • Lead the planning and operational execution of new bakery openings across all Bagel Brands.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Real Estate, Construction, Marketing, HR, Talent Acquisition, IT, and Operations to ensure readiness and operational success from day one.
  • Build and maintain repeatable NSO playbooks to support rapid, high-quality expansion.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong leadership and people development skills with a collaborative, hands-on approach.
  • Deep understanding of restaurant operations, guest experience, training methodologies, and scalable systems.
  • Exceptional communicator and cross-functional leader with the ability to influence at all levels.
