Summary
Leads and develops a high-performing team of 4 to 8 employees with a strong emphasis on coaching, talent development, and performance excellence. Champions a member-centric culture by empowering staff to serve as trusted advisors, consistently delivering exceptional service that drives member satisfaction and loyalty.
Owns the strategic direction and daily operations of the branch, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and performance targets. Oversees operational efficiency, risk management, and full compliance with all federal and state regulations.
Collaborates effectively across departments and within the branch network to optimize resources, streamline processes, and drive organizational success. Fosters a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth, ensuring team engagement and development remain top priorities.
Serves as a visible leader within the community to enhance the credit union’s presence, expand market share, and support membership growth. Actively promotes the organization’s values through strategic community involvement and relationship-building efforts.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Leadership & Development
Leads a team of 4-8 employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include talent acquisition and development of employees; planning, delegation; Conduct regular performance reviews; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Leadership & Development
- Leads and coaches a high-performing team with a focus on talent development, accountability, and consistent performance improvement.
- Facilitates weekly meetings and daily huddles to align goals, strengthen communication, and maintain team focus.
- Identifies and develops high-potential employees, delegating responsibilities to build leadership skills and ensure operational continuity.
- Oversees staffing functions including hiring, performance management, and professional development, fostering a culture of collaboration and growth.
- Drives a member-first, service-oriented culture while promoting a strong sales mindset focused on financial guidance and education.
- Sets clear performance expectations and leverages coaching and observations to help staff exceed service and production goals.
- Resolves escalated member concerns promptly, reinforcing the credit union’s commitment to exceptional service.
- Manages daily branch functions including member services, lending, and teller operations, ensuring efficiency and compliance with policies and regulations.
- Oversees audit readiness, cash control, and adherence to legal and internal standards.
- Demonstrates a proactive, hands-on approach to branch operations by identifying day to day issues and solving them independently and efficiently.
- Ensures branch systems and technologies are used effectively to support operational excellence and enhance the member experience.
- Aligns branch performance with credit union goals, driving membership growth and service delivery.
- Supports business development efforts through community outreach, SEG engagement, and member events to expand market presence.
- Maintains a clean, safe, and professional branch environment by coordinating facility upkeep and promptly addressing maintenance needs.
