Description
Under general supervision by the RN, the dual role Unit Secretary/Telemetry Tech provides nursing staff with clerical and telemetry monitoring support to assist in facilitating patient care within their specified area. The Unit Secretary/Telemetry Tech is responsible for collecting and reporting information to the supervising RN and completion of all patient care related documentation.

Required Qualifications
- Coursework/Training: For hires after 10/31/16:
- Completion of a CNA program, or
- Completion of first semester nursing program, or
- EMT program completion for hires to Emergency Services. For hires after 9/2018:
- Successful completion of dysrhythmia course AND ability to pass rhythm recognition exam test.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
- Experience with basic data entry.
- Coursework/Training: Completion of a MA, CNA, EMT program, Military/Corpsman training or completion of first semester nursing program.
- Coursework/Training: Satisfactory completion of a medical terminology course or Knowledge of medical terminology.
- 1 year of acute patient care experience, Or
- 6 months experience in a direct patient care environment providing clerical or patient support related to provider, patient documentation or charting.
- 1 year Relevant telemetry tech experience.
