Qualifications - Education, Experience And Skills
- Experience: 2+ years of proven experience in UX/UI design, product design, or a related field, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design process and problem-solving skills.
- User-Centric Mindset: A deep empathy for users and a passion for creating intuitive and effective experiences that solve real problems.
- Visual Communication Skills: Exceptional visual design abilities with a strong command of visual hierarchy, typography, layout, and interaction patterns. You bring clarity to complexity through intentional design decisions, ensuring interfaces are not just aesthetically pleasing but highly usable and accessible.
- Prototyping Proficiency: Hands-on experience with industry-standard design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
- Research Acumen: Solid understanding of user research methodologies and the ability to conduct and synthesize user feedback.
- Collaboration and Communication: Exceptional communication, presentation, and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design rationale clearly and persuasively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Problem-Solving Prowess: A strong ability to analyze complex problems, develop creative solutions, and iterate based on feedback and data.
- 5+ years of experience in UX/UI or product design.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Google UX Design Certificate).
- Experience designing for complex systems or enterprise software.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
- A Bachelor"s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science) or equivalent practical experience.
- In coordination with the Product Design & Marketing Manager, will assist with the design vision: Define and champion the user experience strategy for UHIN"s core clearinghouse products, ensuring a cohesive and intuitive journey for our users.
- Deeply Understand Our Users: Immerse yourself in understanding our diverse customer base and their "Jobs-To-Be-Done" through research, interviews, and data analysis.
- Validate and Iterate: Plan and conduct user research and usability testing, effectively synthesizing feedback into actionable design improvements.
- Bring Ideas to Life: Create a range of design artifacts, from rapid low-fidelity sketches to polished high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes, to effectively communicate and validate design concepts.
- Data-Driven Design: Analyze user behavior data and identify opportunities to optimize existing user flows and address pain points.
- Collaborate and Thrive: Actively participate in a highly collaborative, cross-functional product team, contributing to daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, discovery sessions, retrospectives, reviews, and planning meetings.
- Design for Delivery: Work closely with the Product Manager and engineers, ensuring user stories are well-defined and design specifications are clear and ready for development.
- Contribute to the Product Roadmap: Partner with the Product Team to shape the product roadmap, ensuring user needs are central to our strategic direction.
