Overview
POSITION SUMMARY:
The incumbent in this position is responsible for overseeing all operations for Internal Audit department; directs and coordinates audit operating activities to achieve optimum operating efficiencies and economies and maximize company revenues and profits. Auditing financial operations and gaming operations in accordance with Federal and State regulations for Northern Indian and Rockford Illinois.

EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
(Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis)
College diploma or equivalent with a focus in Accounting or Economics or a related discipline. CFE or CIA certification preferred. Working experience in a related field for five (5) or more years. Prior experience in hospitality or gaming preferred (related education and experience maybe interchangeable on a year for year basis). Must have strong knowledge of MS Excel and Word.

Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Plans, directs and coordinates the HRCNI Internal Audit functions.
- Monitors compliance with gaming regulations and submitted system of internal controls.
- Conducts post implementation audits and application audits to ensure controls are adequate on existing systems.
- Ascertains the reliability of accounting and other data produced within the property.
- Conducts audits for the examination of accounting, financial and other operations to determine the adequacy and effectiveness of accounting controls.
- Conducts post implementation audits and application audits to ensure controls are adequate on existing systems.
- Reviews procedures and safeguards for property assets and property.
- Reviewing and reporting the audit work of Auditors
- Performs test to ascertain the quantity, quality, timeliness and cost of services the property produces and delivers.
- Performs test of controls designed to reduce risk of fraud, waste, and abuse.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Attend seminars when needed.

- Must obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Indiana Gaming Commission.
- Must successfully pass background check.
- Must maintain strict confidentiality relative to financial data and casino policies.
- Must successfully pass drug screening.
- Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, analytical communication and managerial skills.
- Extreme confidentiality.
- Accounting and auditing principals/standards and familiarity with various computer systems and applications.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed.
- Communicate effectively both oral and written with all levels of employees and guests.
- Manage multiple tasks concurrently in a changing environment.
- Work independently.
- Analyze and think creatively about the operation of the entire casino.
- Ability to stand and sit for extended periods of time
