Critical Action Items & Measurable Deliverables:
- Prepare and teach medical courses in accordance with course materials.
- Develop and continually update program training manuals and materials.
- Liaison with the Compass Connections National Training Team to ensure appropriate compliance with presentation and documentation standards of all required training.
- Frequently travel from one location to another inclusive of distances greater than 50 miles from home office.
- Meet all deadlines required by program supervisor and contract or grant deliverables.
- Meet and maintain all state, federal, and accreditation standards applicable to this position.
- Provide relevant training that meets agency, state, federal, and accreditation standards and the individual needs of each staff and assigned position for best practices regarding CPR, First Aid, BLS, calling 9-1-1, and controlling contagious disease, quality health care, and emergency response preparedness.
- Consistently provide and update training for contract or grant deliverables for care facilities, community services, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain proficiency in instructional techniques, incorporate current examples in the teaching process.
- Ensure each course is taught in an ethical and professional manner, demonstrating good discipline.
- Establish professional relationships in the field, including private agencies and supporting agencies.
- Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed or requested by position supervisor.
- Implement Compass Connections safety protocols in case of emergency.
- Participate in scheduled meetings and team decisions and operations.
- Maintain confidentiality in all areas of the service population and program operations.
- Maintain Compass Connections professional and ethical standards of conduct outlined in Compass Connections System personnel policy manual including demonstrating respect for agency staff, the service population, and the community members and complying with required dress code at all times.
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens throughout employment.
- Provide proof of work eligibility status upon request.
- Pass a pre-employment and biennial criminal background checks.
- Outstanding organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Creativity and the ability to work with limited resources.
- Ability to work under difficult conditions.
- Excellent ability to handle multiple tasks and operation objectives in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.
- Extremely flexible and the ability to cope with stressful situations and frustrations.
- Demonstrate the ability to:
- Respond sensitively and competently to the service population’s cultural and socio-economic characteristics.
- Work collaboratively with other staff members, service providers and professionals.
- Work in a fast-paced environment and maintain emotional control and professional composure at all times.
- Maintain computer literacy required to meet the responsibilities of the position.
- Work effectively and without intensive supervision both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of all Compass Connections policies and procedures.
