The Financial Analyst will be responsible for conducting timely and accurate financial analysis and reporting to assist in the financial decision making in the organization. Provides technical financial expertise to assigned business units and leaders to ensure all financial and operational data, including budgets and forecasts, are available to support business decisions. This role will collaborate with all areas of the company including IT, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, and Operations leadership.

This role will collaborate with all areas of the company including IT, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, and Operations leadership.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing monthly presentation decks for executive leadership, including but not limited to brand financial performance and franchisee financial health
- Assist in the preparation of the annual operating plan and longer-term strategic plans
- Verify that monthly and quarterly reporting is accurate to the expectations of brand leaders and cost center owners
- Perform detailed variance analysis to determine key drivers of change between actual, budgeted and forecasted financials
- Partner with Operations and Accounting to identify trends and then provide insightful and accountable recommendations
- Gather financial data of existing and new franchisees to analyze and monitor franchisee financial health; analyses include but not limited to franchisee agreement renewals, openings, closures, transfers, etc.
- Review franchisee submitted P&L statements for accuracy and financial health
- Conducts ad hoc analyses as needed to support operational decision making
- BA/BS degree in finance, accounting, or related field
- 3+ years of relevant experience in financial, business analysis, or accounting
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail a must
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; be comfortable interacting with all levels of business partners including executive-level management
- Able to create financial models and conduct variance analyses
- Proficient in PowerPoint and experience building management level presentations
- Strong time management and organizational skills, with ability to multi-task
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced experience with Excel formulas including familiarity with Index, Matching, concatenation, look-ups, and pivot tables. Experience with power pivots a plus
- Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning and PeopleSoft a plus
- Restaurant industry or franchise experience preferred
- Familiar working with large databases and datawarehouses
- Target base salary 75-90k depending on experience
