Job Title: Category Demand Planner Buyer
Salary Range: $72,000.00 – $90,000.00 /annual; plus, bonus eligibility
Summary: A highly visible Supply Chain role that will be responsible for executing supply and inventory planning for new and inline programs, enabling the Titleist Club organization to meet sales demand and production objectives for a specific club category. Responsible for the thorough and proactive analysis of all responsible club components and finished goods to execute appropriate buy and inventory level plans to meet Sales forecast and DOS (Days of Supply) objectives. Proactive collaboration with cross-functional partners (Operations, Sales, Marketing, R&D) and global planning/buying teams is paramount to achieving objectives. Participates in the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process for a specific club category, manages inventory targets, performs planning and purchasing administration functions in support of role, and communicates supply and inventory measurements to management.

Responsibilities:
- Organize and lead planning and procurement activities for category product launches worldwide (including global and region-specific programs). Work with suppliers and cross-functional teams to ensure all launch readiness requirements are completed on time and tracking to plan. Return clubs to R&D upon completion of test.
- Works collaboratively across multiple functions to consolidate global forecast requirements into an overall demand plan for the supply chain. Consolidate global/regional demand volumes and collaborate with suppliers to develop and maintain capacity plans for global program launches and product lifecycle. Determine Acushnet regional allocations of supplier capacity/supply, supplier production schedule priorities, and monitor worldwide Days of Supply (DOS) to ensure all global markets and programs within the category are equitably supported. Work with Acushnet regional buyers on allocation plans and escalation requests.
- Analyze high level program forecasts and help to develop stock finished good Planning Bill of Materials (PBOM) and custom component PBOM planning mixes, continually monitor consumption and make adjustments to planned purchase mix to best support program needs. Proactively analyze inventory positions and execute optimal procurement strategies to ensure KPI level availability for all SKU'S. Recommend and execute corrective actions, communicate obsolete/slow-moving inventory to applicable Operations and Sales management partners.
- Analyze supply vs. demand and communicate frequently with cross-functional teams and internal customers (sales, tour, global teams, leadership, customer service) ability to meet launch requirements and program demand throughout the product lifecycle.
- Manage inventory targets and KPIs that are approved by management. Prepare reports and communicate inventory measurements to management (safety stock levels, days of supply, inventory plan vs. targets). Recommend changes to the supply plan and inventory targets based on changes in demand and market trends. Provide key input into production plan on remaining demand and availability of product.
- Set up and maintain accurate component and product information in ERP system to ensure appropriate purchasing and ERP planning execution. Create Bill of Materials (BOMs) for finished goods sku launches. Review launch documents for accuracy. Set up new suppliers as needed.
- Create and execute component purchases using ERP system and support tools. Provide feedback for supplier performance analysis and work with suppliers to correct issues. Monitor supplier production schedules to meet global goals. Create and maintain supply planning and projected End of Life (EOL) analysis.
- Facilitate the development of ERP process improvements for purchasing, develop and deliver planning/buying and system training to new and existing associates. Coordinate with other Category Demand Planner Buyers to evolve and maintain the standard operating procedure for demand planning processes and systems.
- BA / BS college degree in Business Administration or related field is required. CSCP certification is preferred.
- 2 years minimum experience in procurement, planning, or order management is required.
- Must possess the skills necessary to become fully responsible for the demand planning and buying process for responsible club line.
- Strong analytical abilities are required.
- Must be able to travel internationally once per 24-month period.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Strong presentation skills. Detail oriented.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and teambuilding skills.
- Golf experience preferred.
- SAP experience preferred.
- Experience in a LEAN manufacturing environment preferred.
