Accounts Receivable Specialist - #1409786

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for managing the billing and collections process, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with healthcare billing standards. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, experience in medical billing, and proficiency with QuickBooks and coding systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and send invoices for healthcare services
• Apply payments, process adjustments, and manage denials
• Follow up on outstanding accounts and support collections efforts
• Maintain detailed records of billing transactions and communications
• Work collaboratively with care teams to resolve billing discrepancies
• Generate accounts receivable aging reports and support monthend closing
• Ensure all billing activities meet HIPAA and regulatory requirements
  
  

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or medical billing in a healthcare setting
• Proficient in QuickBooks
• Familiarity with CPT and ICD10 coding
• Understanding of Medicaid, Medicare, and DSHS billing practices
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general accounting systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Certification in Medical Billing and Coding (e.g., CPC, CCS)
• Experience in home health, longterm care, or similar healthcare environments
• Familiarity with EMR systems or other healthcare billing platforms
