REMOTE SETUP TECHNICIAN - #1409873

The Remote Setup Technician – Field Ops is responsible for installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Sonny’s technology and systems to include but not limited to POS Software, Tunnel Controllers, Pay Stations, Machine Learning, Gates, and Fluid Sensing.

Responsibilities

• Remotely assist our client sites across the World to setup/configure and solve complex problems with product wiring or any configuration issues.
• Provide client training and assistance with system functionality and programming.
• Reading site plans and wiring diagrams.
• Configure PLCs based upon company and client requirements to control tunnel equipment.
• Troubleshoot technical support issues which may range from networking, computer hardware, computer software, Internet, power, electrical and/or operator error issues.
• Work with our clients remotely, electronically and via telephone.
• Provide follow-up to customers on issues that cannot be solved immediately.
• Work directly with the Onsite-Coordinators for scheduling.
• Update and maintain installation, assembly, and end user documentation for company products
• Provide standard technical support, when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years’ experience in at least one of the following areas: structured wiring (e.g. new construction electrical, low voltage wiring, home entertainment system wiring), field service installation, or repair in voice (e.g. telephone, data-internet, video-RF/cable).
• 2+ years’ onsite experience.
• LAN Knowledge and Operating Systems.
• Experience with Linux System Administration preferred.
• Experience with reading and understanding wiring diagrams.
