The Executive Vice President and Chief Nuclear Office will ensure the continued exceptional performance of the Pacific Northwest's sole commercial nuclear reactor, Columbia Generating Station.
General Summary
The EVP/CNO will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, which determines the strategic direction, operating philosophy, and internal policy of the organization. Provide leadership by creating challenging expectations, improving staff effectiveness, and giving timely and effective feedback.
The EVP/CNO is primarily responsible for operation, maintenance, modernization and financial performance of the Columbia Generating Station. Responsibility for other generating assets may be assigned by the CEO. The EVP/CNO is also responsible to prepare for operation of nuclear generating assets under development.
Principal Accountabilities
Pay Range
$440,000.00 - $660,000.00 Annual
Midpoint
$550,000.00
Typically, selected candidates are hired between the minimum and midpoint of the range, based on applicable experience and qualifications, market rate, internal equity, and budgetary allowances.
Incentive Compensation
Offers will be negotiated based on each candidate's qualifications.
This role may be eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan. Incentives are earned based on employee performance against defined metrics and company goals.

Principal Accountabilities
- Provide leadership and management direction with the creation of the vision, strategic objectives, and key business initiatives for Energy Northwest.
- Apply and support the application of sound leadership principles and techniques.
- Personally demonstrate and place an expectation that Energy Northwest core values be continually applied in day-to-day activities.
- Create an awareness of identifying workplace efficiencies and cost reduction methods to achieve our strategic goals for cost of power and revenues from new business.
- Further safety and environmental protection awareness and achieve the goals identified in our strategic plan.
- Develop current and future leaders through succession planning, use of developmental plans, and through active monitoring and coaching.
- Work to eliminate organizational barriers, which limit our successes.
- Support “building the organization” through various development processes, including creating individual developmental plans based on feedback from the Full Circle Evaluation and other tools.
- Identify opportunities and support new business initiatives.
- Participate in community activities.
- When designated, act for and successfully discharge the duties and responsibilities of others at the Vice President level or higher.
- A bachelor's degree in engineering or related science from an accredited college or university.
- A record of continual learning and training.
- A minimum of 20 years progressive management/leadership experience.
- Highly developed aptitude and skilled demonstration of the Core Values, Leadership/other Competencies identified in the Abilities/Skills section of this position description.
- Preparing and delivering oral presentations to Executive Board/Board of Director level and to internal/external organizations.
