Job Summary
Athletic Trainers work at the height of their license at Excelsior Orthopaedics, whether that be in our Express Urgent Care Clinic or in a clinical settings working alongside physicians.
With increased volume at current locations we are looking to add several patient-centered and team focused clinicians to our practice!
Duties And Responsibilities

Time off benefits include paid combined time off (CTO) and seven paid holidays, plus a floating holiday after one year of service. Retirement benefits include a 401(k) with company contribution and profit sharing after one year of service. Excelsior Orthopaedics is a multi-specialty orthopedic practice that has been providing comprehensive care since 2002. We have multiple locations throughout the Western New York region and a free-standing ambulatory surgery center, Buffalo Surgery Center. Excelsior Orthopaedics offers a suite of in-house services including general orthopaedic evaluation and treatment, podiatry, physical & occupational therapy, nutrition counseling, sports training, outreach athletic training, orthopaedic express care, imaging, durable medical equipment, and an outpatient total joint program. Buffalo Surgery Center provides surgical and procedural treatments for orthopaedic, pain and spine, podiatry, total joint replacement, and gastrointestinal patients. The pay range for this position is determined based on several factors, including the candidate’s years of experience, qualifications, training, licenses, designations, and the overall market conditions.

Duties And Responsibilities
- Works in the Rehabilitation Clinic, closely with physical and occupational therapists to progress patients and maintain a safe and efficient patient flow
- Teach and monitor athletes on proper and safe lifting/conditioning techniques
- Educate patients regarding injuries, reconditioning exercises, and/or injury recovery as needed
- Identify patients that would benefit from Excelsior Sports Training Program (including Strides and Overhead Throwing Athletes)
- BS in Athletic Training required.
- NYS license required.
- CPR/AED certification preferred.
- Experience in educational or clinical setting preferred but not required.
- Training and relocation assistance available.
- Requires considerable physical activity including heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects up to 50 pounds.
- Involves standing, walking, and kneeling.
- Work environment involves some exposure to hazards/physical risk, which requires adhering to basic safety precautions.
