Position Summary

Bay FC is seeking a Digital Marketing Manager to join our team. This role will drive growth and continuous improvement to the Bay FC Website and Official App. They will own the day-to-day management and execution of web content and oversee improvements to the architecture, as well as ensuring content is refreshed on the app. The goal is to deliver a best-in-class customer experience on our digital properties. This full-time position reports into the Vice President of Growth and Retention.

Responsibilities

CONTENT MANAGEMENT

  • Plan, create, and update digital content on the site and app throughout the season, including press releases, promotional updates, homepage carousels, highlight reels, and more.
  • Maintain and build landing pages and webforms to support various departments, including Ticketing, Community Relations, and Partnerships.
  • Collaborate with the Partnerships team to manage sponsored website assets such as banner ads, pre-roll videos, homepage takeovers, and more.
  • Conduct regular content audits to identify and eliminate outdated, redundant, or duplicate content while maintaining an up-to-date CMS.
  • Work with the Brand Marketing team to implement design and UI/UX updates across digital platforms.
  • Publish targeted content on the mobile app, including personalized content for Season Ticket Members.
  • Plan and deploy timely on-site pop-up messages to support key campaigns.
  • Manage and mentor the Digital Marketing Coordinator, including outlining and reviewing monthly blog content.

TECHNICAL

  • Develop and execute test-and-learn strategies to improve ticketing and merchandise conversion rates.
  • Identify and implement technical SEO enhancements to drive website traffic and search visibility.
  • Recommend, plan, and oversee updates to the website and mobile app in collaboration with cross-functional teams and app developer.
  • Manage website tools and evaluate new platforms to enhance user experience and engagement.
  • Oversee digital analytics tools, including Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Google Tag Manager.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the website and mobile app to ensure optimal performance.

ANALYTICS

  • Manage performance dashboards and reports to monitor and analyze website and app performance metrics.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to the Growth & Retention team based on data analysis.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, emerging tools, and competitor strategies to inform ongoing digital improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree preferred
  • 5+ years in a website marketing manager or marketing web developer role
  • Experience in a sports organization is preferred.
  • Experience with WordPress required.
  • Experience with YinzCam is a plus.
  • Strong familiarity with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Google Search Console
  • Highly proficient with HTML,CSS, and Javascript,
  • Experience with responsive web design
  • Comfortable adding/troubleshooting various CMS plugins and add-ons
  • Experience with Photoshop or other photo editors
  • Strong understanding of SEO best practices and optimization.
  • Experience with A/B testing
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent copywriting and proofreading skills.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with strong work ethics.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work extended hours and flexible schedule including nights and weekends as needed.
  • Understanding of NWSL and/or Soccer preferred.

Compensation

The anticipated salary for this role starts at $80,000. Actual starting pay may vary based on a range of factors which can include experience, skills, and scope.
