Job Overview

Regency Excavation is seeking an experienced and motivated Pipe Crew Foreman to lead and supervise underground utility installation projects across commercial and residential job sites. This role is responsible for overseeing the crew, managing the installation of storm drains, sewer lines, and water systems, and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, expert-level field knowledge, and a commitment to high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead pipe crew in the installation of sewer, storm drain, and water systems.
  • Interpret blueprints, project plans, and specifications for underground utility work.
  • Ensure safety standards and company procedures are followed at all times.
  • Coordinate daily work tasks and schedule with project managers and subcontractors.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of daily activities, crew hours, and job progress.
  • Operate and oversee use of excavation equipment as needed.
  • Perform and oversee trenching, pipe laying, backfilling, and testing operations.
  • Mentor crew members and assist with on-the-job training.
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor work quality and compliance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to underground utility installation.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in underground utility installation; 2+ years in a supervisory/foreman role preferred.
  • Strong understanding of sewer, storm drain, and water systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and best practices for excavation sites.
  • Effective leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to operate excavation equipment and tools.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver's license; CDL a plus.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
