Responsibilities

About the SCP&O Data & Reporting Role

In this role, you’ll work at the intersection of data, systems, and supply chain operations - building the foundation for how the organization accesses and uses data to make decisions. Your day-to-day work will focus on:

  • Developing and Managing Data Pipelines: Build, document, and maintain certified data flows from key supply chain sources into the data lake and reporting tools
  • Owning Reporting Processes: Lead intake and triage of reporting requests, manage report development and ensure consistency across platforms like Tableau
  • Driving Governance and Standards: Maintain controls around data access, versioning, and validation to ensure trusted high-quality outputs
  • Supporting Business Users: Create documentation, offer training, and provide guidance to supply chain teams to promote confident, consistent use of data
  • Delivering Analytics and Models: Use blended data to identify opportunities, build models, and deliver insights that support operational and strategic planning

This role is hands-on, cross-functional, and central to how the broader supply chain team uses data to operate and improve.

There's a lot that goes on behind the scenes to keep our Stores stocked and ready to serve customers. H-E-B's manufacturing, warehousing, and transportation (MW&T) divisions support each of our retail locations. Our W&T Supply Chain Team innovates and executes to optimize source-to-shelf operations by analyzing supply chain processes and systems while providing current, reliable supply chain data, analysis, and technical info.

As a Supply Chain Analyst, you'll develop processes, tools, reports, and provide data analytics to support H-E-B's supply chain strategic initiatives such as supply and demand forecasting, inventory planning, logistics, and cost optimization.

We are looking for:

  • a bachelor's degree in business or a supply chain-related field
  • advanced analytical and project management skills
  • 5+ years' experience

What is the work?

Analytics:

  • Independently identifies, documents, analyzes, implements, and communicates solutions to meet the needs of the business\
  • Defines and documents the current and future operational scenarios and work with other business areas and client groups to translate moderately complex business needs into solutions and/or business requirements
  • Analyzes probable impact of recommendations and solutions on other business areas and client groups.
  • Contributes to the cost/benefit analysis, design, and implementation of supply chain models for projects
  • Provides support and resources for ad-hoc analysis requests, tools, development, and process improvement projects
  • Identifies issues and gaps within current business processes and develops solutions which drive continuous improvement in the functional area

Project Management:

  • Manages medium to large complexity projects that may encompass technologies, facilities, processes, materials, handling systems, or other business initiatives
  • Ensures the project is on schedule, high quality, within determined budget, meets departmental scorecard, and creates business value
  • Contributes to project efforts/status including developing project plans, schedules, risk assessments, and coordinating logistical team
  • Proactively develops project management tools for Supply Chain
  • Supports/delivers training and education services to teams & resources
  • May lead, in conjunction with project teams, the delivery of processes, systems, processes, metrics and/or services in the agreed upon time frames
  • Maintains client/stakeholder partnerships to ensure overall satisfaction

What is your background?

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, supply chain, business, operations management, or related field or relevant business/technical experience
  • 5+ years' experience
  • Supply Chain Systems: Project Management Professional Certification preferred OR
  • Supply Chain Optimization: Experience developing/maintaining engineered labor standards preferred OR
  • Transportation Procurement: experience with freight term changes and logistics (Transportation Supply Chain only)
  • Transportation Modeling: experience with analyzes freight networks preferred (Transportation Supply Chain only)
