Seneca Foods is one of the most highly integrated fruit and vegetable processing companies in the US. We manage many—and in some cases all—aspects of production. At Seneca, we produce seeds, harvest crops, manufacture our own containers and provide a wide range of nutritious fruit and vegetable products. Seneca Foods Corporation is seeking a qualified Sales Manager to join our team. The successful candidate in this role will be involved in planning, implementing, and overall performance evaluation of company sales initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing local and regional sales, promotions and campaigns
  • Manage and resolve customer complaints regarding a product or service.
  • Making data-informed decisions to drive performance and resource allocation
  • Defining and executing territory sales plans
  • Overseeing and directing performance of the broker team
  • Monitors the industry, business environment, competitors and customers to develop actions plans for expanding and retaining the customer base.
  • Planned travel to key markets monthly
  • Conduct Retail audits to ensure Company initiatives are in place.
  • Attend and participate in various trade shows.
  • Interdepartmental collaboration with customer service, and technical services to address customer needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales or Marketing or equivalent of 5 years’ sales experience
  • A commitment to excellent customer service.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with sales management software and CRM.
  • Broad knowledge of the grocery industry
  • Knowledge of broker management.
  • A minimum of three years of retail grocery sales is preferred.
  • This is a remote position, and candidate must live in the Mountain or Central time zones
  • Wage range based on skills, abilities, and experience from $95,000-$115,000/year
  • Travel is required 3 days a week / 3 weeks out of the month (flexible based on sales manager needs)
