The Construction Office Accountant/Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of construction accounting practices and the ability to work collaboratively with project managers and other team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Organize and send invoicing, billing statements, and
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Monitor and reconcile bank statements and other financial transactions.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers to track project costs and budgets.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Assist with tax preparation and filing.
• Provide support during financial audits and reviews.
• Perform other accounting duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Thorough understanding of business practices.
• CPA certification preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction accounting practices and principles.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
