We are hiring a Vice President of Operations to join our Executive Leadership team!

- Are you a global manufacturing strategist? You will provide strategic and operational leadership for five manufacturing sites, ensuring alignment with company objectives. This includes developing short and long-term manufacturing strategies encompassing Advanced Manufacturing, Robotics, and Automation, designed to improve our competitive edge and profitability.
- Can you lead substantial cross-functional teams? Your leadership will guide teams across production, logistics, planning, and facilities to meet safety, quality, cost, and delivery goals across approximately 2,000 employees. Strategic and tactical management of plants in Vista, California and two (soon to be three) facilities in Tijuana, Mexico will ensure smooth day-to-day operations through respective Plant Managers.
- Can you optimize sophisticated supply chains? End-to-end supply chain operations fall under your oversight, including procurement, planning, inventory management, logistics, spare parts and accessories (FG) kitting, shipping, import/export, trade compliance, and supplier relationships. Cost savings and resilience will be driven through supplier consolidation, sourcing strategies, and demand planning excellence.
- Are you a continuous improvement champion? Through the Masco Operating System (MOS) and Continuous Improvement initiatives, you'll identify, implement, and execute process improvements. Your CI leadership will enhance productivity, reduce waste, and cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and accountability at all levels of the organization.
- Can you drive quality excellence? Championing a quality-first culture ensures adherence to industry standards, certifications, and customer requirements. Quality assurance and control functions will operate under your supervision to reduce defects and improve customer satisfaction.
- Are you a facilities and infrastructure leader? All facilities must remain safe, well-maintained, and stays in sync with environmental and regulatory standards under your guidance. Infrastructure upgrades and expansion/consolidations will be led by you, while collaborating with Safety and Environmental matrixed organizations champions a safety-first philosophy.
- Can you build high-performing teams? Partnering with People & Culture allows you to build and develop teams across operations, promoting a culture of collaboration, transparency, and operational excellence. The Watkins Way values will be fostered while you champion a people-first culture and drive accountability across the Senior Leadership Team.
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain or related field; MBA or master's degree preferred.
- 15+ years of dynamic operations leadership experience in manufacturing, including multi-site oversight with strong manufacturing and Supply Chain background. Demonstrated experience leading multi-site operations with cross-border operations experience, especially in Mexico, strongly preferred.
- Strong background in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement methodologies. Advanced ERP system familiarity and highly proficient in MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel. HRIS – Workday preferred.
- Strategic thinker with hands-on leadership style, culturally adept and able to lead teams with varied strengths. Proven ability to drive efficiency, innovation, and sustainable growth. Clear, persuasive communicator and data-driven decision-maker who exhibits The Watkins Way values.
- Fluent in English; Spanish proficiency strongly preferred but not required. Willingness to travel frequently to Tijuana and occasionally internationally.
- Preferred Certifications: APICS, CPIM Certification and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt are a plus.
