Description

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops and establishes quality systems and procedures, inspection plans, quality performance trends, statistical plans, and technical quality plans for production.
  • Prepares reports by collecting, interpreting, analyzing and summarizing data and making recommendations. Analyzes proposed changes in methods and materials. Compiles and writes training material and conducts training sessions on quality control activities.
  • Identifies quality performance, trends and corrective action by coordinating with customers and suppliers.
  • Ability to lead and motivate people in a team environment, balance the demands of several work areas and to coordinate closely related work of a variety of employees.
  • Devises and implements various methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision, reliability and accuracy of products, processes and production equipment.

Other Responsibilities

  • Verify operators are following process sheets and products meet print specifications.
  • Assist production and supervision with process problems and improvements
  • Understanding and committed to customers requirements
  • Provide support to operations ensuring consistent application of quality techniques
  • Able to work efficiently in a team environment
  • Improve product quality and processes by making recommendations for change
  • Participate in the APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) activities for new product startup
  • Create and maintain PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) per customer requirements
  • Perform Capability Studies and analyze Data
  • Complete special projects requested by Quality Manager

Preferred

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Manufacturing / or Associate degree in related discipline; other degrees and work experience considered
  • Understanding of ISO 9001
  • Proficient use of MS Word, MS Excel, MS outlook & MS Access
  • Good communication skills and accurate record keeping.
