Description

  • Create and implement a system and/or communication tool to ensure collaboration between Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3
  • Help research & manage new & current intervention resources for both Reading and Math
  • Train & support classroom teaching staff in delivering research-based interventions, and adapt their individual and small group instruction to maximize student outcomes in partnership with the Tier 2 and Tier 3 instruction
  • Assist teachers with the development and implementation of progress monitoring tools and formative and summative assessments
  • Provide organized, individual and/or group learning opportunities for teachers as needed
  • Provide support in collecting and analyzing student assessment data
  • Assist teachers with designing instructional decisions based on assessment data when requested.
  • Model effective, differentiated instruction when requested.
  • Assist in the development of resources for Tier 2
  • Conducts non-evaluative walk-throughs and provides data-based, descriptive, non-judgmental feedback that facilitates teacher reflection and growth.
  • Collects, analyzes, and uses data to support improvement of teacher practice and to evaluate the impact on student achievement
  • Assists teachers in gathering and analyzing data to guide instruction and plan targeted interventions.
  • Schedule and moderate Data Drop with all stakeholders, including Special Education Department, the ESL Department and other support staff.
  • Direct, design, monitor and evaluate the curriculum to ensure alignment with State of Michigan requirements, vertical articulation of learning goals and horizontal grade level consistency.
  • Assist the Principal in the design, delivery and evaluation of ongoing professional development for the staff.
  • Participate in regular leadership team meetings
  • Other duties as assigned by the Principal

Requirements

  • Michigan teaching certification and a minimum of 3 years teaching experience and/or Master’s degree in the area of curriculum and instruction
  • Ability to effectively interact, collaborate, and communicate both orally and in writing with administration, staff, parents and students
  • Satisfactory criminal background check and unprofessional conduct check as required by School Safety Legislation
  • Demonstrated ability to collect assessment data and generate meaningful analysis
  • Knowledge of state and federal educational laws and regulations
  • Knowledge of Michigan Academic Standards and data requirements
  • Demonstrated high-level of organizational skills and ability to successfully manage and coordinate a number of projects and tasks
  • Ability to write reports requiring meaningful interpretation of data, technical precision and accuracy
