We are hiring a Manager – Environmental & Sustainability for our Aurora, CO Factory!
The Environmental and Sustainability Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the organization’s environmental and sustainability policies and programs. This role involves ensuring compliance with local, state and federal environmental regulations, promoting sustainable practices, and driving continuous improvement in environmental and sustainability performance.

The company offers flexible spending accounts for health care and dependent care, as well as health savings accounts for those that choose to enroll in a high-deductible health plan (HDHP). Employees are auto enrolled in our company’s 401(k)/Deferred Profit Sharing (DPS) Plan, which provides for both annual 6% employer matching contribution and an annual employer contribution.
As a new hire, you will enjoy an allotment of paid vacation time, paid sick time, 12 paid company holidays, and 3 paid floating holidays. We also provide our employees with paid parental leave, paid family and medical leave, paid bereavement leave, paid sick and safe time, paid public emergency leave, paid time off for jury duty, and paid time off for certain activities relating to their status as a victim of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, or crime. The company offers unpaid national guard and reserve leave, unpaid civil air patrol leave, unpaid qualified volunteer leave, and unpaid time off for employees engaging in certain activities relating to criminal proceedings.
The company also provides basic life insurance, accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, and short-term and long-term disability insurance to employees at no cost. Employees have the option to purchase supplemental life and AD&D coverage for themselves, spouse, and dependent children.

The Environmental and Sustainability Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the organization’s environmental and sustainability policies and programs. ‘Day to Day’
- Create and execute environmental and sustainability policies that align with the organization’s goals and regulatory requirements
- Develop long-term environmental strategies and set measurable targets
- Track and assess the effectiveness of environmental and sustainability initiatives and policies
- Use data to prepare detailed reports for stakeholders, including senior management and regulatory bodies
- Ensure the organization complies with all relevant environmental and sustainability regulations and standards.
- Conduct regular environmental audits and assessments to identify areas for improvements
- Work with internal teams and external partners to promote environmental and sustainability goals
- Engage with suppliers, customers, and the community to support environmental and sustainability initiatives
- Manage and maintain environmental permits, including air quality, waste management, stormwater and wastewater discharge
- Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and implement best practices
- Develop training programs to increase employee awareness and engagement in environmental and sustainable practices
- Foster a culture of environmental and sustainability responsibility within the organization
- Lead Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects that align with the organization’s environmental and sustainable goals
- Promote the organizations commitment to social and environmental responsibility
- Stay updated on new legislation and advancements in the field of environmental and sustainability, adapting policies as necessary to maintain compliance
- Assists in planning, organizing, and controlling environmental and sustainability budget
- Assumes responsibility for professional development through participation in continuing education offerings that maintain and update knowledge of ESG/ GHG practices and protocols
- Assist in development of corporate annual sustainability reports
- Other duties as assigned.
- Strong leadership and strategic planning abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainability best practices.
- Analytical skills to evaluate environmental performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Project management skills to oversee environmental initiatives.
- Passion for sustainability and commitment to driving positive change.
- Maintain confidentiality, a must.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Sustainability, or equivalent field experience required.
- Extensive experience in environmental management, sustainability, or a related field, typically 5-7 years.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful environmental strategies.
- Knowledge in 40 CFR (Environmental Regulations); Knowledge in 49 CFR (DOT Regulations) in ISO 14001 preferred.
- Experience in filing regulatory environmental reports.
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. (Required)
