The Facilities & Operations Manager is a key on-site leader responsible for overseeing the safe, efficient, and secure operation of our retail, café, and office facilities. This role blends hands-on facility operations with team leadership—managing Brand Market leadership and Brand Ambassadors to deliver exceptional customer experiences and maintain high service and merchandising standards. The Facilities Manager ensures every guest experience is supported by a well-maintained, welcoming, and brand-aligned environment.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
The Facilities & Operations Manager is a key on-site leader responsible for overseeing the safe, efficient, and secure operation of our retail, café, and office facilities. This role blends hands-on facility operations with team leadership—managing Brand Market leadership and Brand Ambassadors to deliver exceptional customer experiences and maintain high service and merchandising standards. The Facilities Manager ensures every guest experience is supported by a well-maintained, welcoming, and brand-aligned environment.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Team Leadership & Customer Experience
- Coach and develop the Brand Market Manager, Assistant Brand Market Manager, and Brand Ambassadors.
- Set schedules, performance goals, and clear career development paths.
- Uphold customer service excellence and ensure immediate issue resolution on the sales floor.
- Ensure café, market, and back-of-house areas are clean, organized, and visually aligned with brand standards.
- Facility Operations & Maintenance
- Own preventive maintenance programs for HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, kitchen equipment, and life-safety systems.
- Coordinate workspace reconfigurations, including furniture, IT setup, and access control.
- Manage facility-related vendor contracts (e.g., janitorial, pest control, landscaping, maintenance).
- Troubleshoot and coordinate timely repairs of building systems; track and close work orders.
- Security, Safety & Compliance
- Manage physical security systems: alarms, CCTV, access controls, and building access protocols.
- Conduct regular safety audits and emergency drills; ensure compliance with OSHA, fire, and food-service regulations.
- Maintain all regulatory documentation, including permits, inspection logs, SDS, and certificates of insurance.
- Sustainability & Cost Management
- Build and manage the annual facilities budget.
- Analyze utility usage and lead energy-efficiency, recycling, and waste-reduction projects.
- Events & Community Engagement
- Coordinate facility logistics for events, pop-ups, and community programming.
- Build strong community partnerships and coordinate outreach initiatives.
- Tenant & Vehicle Fleet Oversight
- Manage the relationship with building tenants; ensure lease compliance and coordinate shared services.
- Oversee company vehicle fleet operations including maintenance, registration, insurance, and driver safety.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive facilities or operations management.
- At least 2 years supervising customer-facing or front-line staff.
- Certified Facility Manager (CFM), BOMI RPA, OSHA 30, or similar credentials preferred.
- Strong leadership and team-development capabilities in a customer-facing, service-driven environment.
- In-depth knowledge of building systems, preventive maintenance practices, and vendor management.
- Ability to read blueprints, interpret regulatory codes, and manage facility records.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Walk/stand on sales floor up to 8 hours; climb ladders; lift or move items up to 50 pounds.
- Work in retail, kitchen, rooftop, and mechanical-room settings; occasional outdoor exposure.
- May require evening/weekend coverage for emergencies or special events.
- Role is fully on-site in Cape Coral, FL.
