Our client is looking for a Desktop Support Technician for a 4-month contract-to-hire in New Bedford MA 02740. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis now and in the future.

Contract Duration: 4 months

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3-6 years’ experience supporting PC Hardware and software.
  • Should be able to confidently and safely lift up to 50 lbs. as well as be able to navigate between buildings and the production floor to support users.
  • PC Hardware and software.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Experience supporting mobile data plans, mobile networks, and devices.
  • Comfortability providing hands & feet support for Server and Network.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware, and computer peripherals.
  • Documents, maintains, upgrades, or replaces hardware and software systems.
  • Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security, and systems groups. Trains employees, identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures, orders and replaces parts as needed.
  • Network connection issues, track network connections back to network switches.
  • Escalates problems and issues to a higher level of support if unable to resolve.
  • Represents the company in a professional and businesslike manner and communicates effectively with customers and associates.
  • Interacts with customers, responding to routine technical questions or request for information.
