Summary
The Quality Coordinator will work with other members of the Quality Support Services team to:
- Provide ongoing abstraction and analysis of quality and healthcare information which is obtained from a variety of sources or databases within the hospital system.
- Assist with originating, coordinating, and utilizing data management strategies which will support the Nash Health Care System with quality and performance improvement programs in accordance with the mission, goals, and objectives of the organization.
- Assist with data collection and analysis for the Compliance and/or Risk areas as needed.
- Assist with data collection and analysis for the Magnet Program as needed.
- Assist with management and oversight of Policy stat program.
- Utilize analytical tools, data analysis methodology, and various databases to produce analytical reports.
- Provide administrative, educational, and maintenance support of the various database information systems utilized to retrieve data.
- Have a working knowledge of regulatory and accreditation requirements. Provide support for quality and performance improvement activities in accordance with the mission, vision, goals, and objectives of the organization.
- Uses, supports, maintains various database applications and analytical tools to provide the following but not limited to: evaluation of data quality, data applications, functions, produce report output, maintain user database and appropriate operations
- Develops data programs, methodologies, and data files for analyzing and presenting quality, compliance or risk data.
- Effectively designs and assists with upgrades for current and new databases for the storage and manipulation of data as required.
- Perform complex data retrieval, data analysis, and appropriate reports within designated time frames and within parameters set for review.
- Accurately writes and/or utilizes appropriate statistical formulas when performing data analysis to ensure that results are accurate and reliable.
Education Requirements:
- Associate in nursing
- BSN preferred.
- N/A
- RN Current License to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina
- 2 years of experience as Healthcare/Medical – Nursing General
- A minimum of two years of nursing experience with substantial exposure to quality improvements iniatives.
