Description
The purpose of this position is to provide analytical, contract administration, clerical and other administrative support to the Development Manager by performing duties which include, but are not limited to, answering the telephones, transcribing dictation, typing, filing, compiling and generating written communications, creating, maintaining and updating reports and presentations, performing detailed research, making travel arrangements, scheduling meetings and preparing appropriate agendas and assembling meeting distribution items, tracking monthly status reports and processing Draw-Pay submittals for all Fee Developer’s and preparing draw percentage reporting for the Development Manager, tracking and following up on all required Fee Development Checklist items and project close-out items for final project payout, compiling/assembling contracts for review and transmittal and preparing contracts for signature submittal, as well as other responsibilities as assigned.
To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.

- Providing administrative and clerical support/assistance to the Development Manager
- Providing contract support and administration for the Development Manager (and Due Diligence Specialist from time-to-time)
- Abstracting contracts, development agreements, leases and other legal documents associated with current, pending and future developments
- Creating, maintaining and updating multiple reports and conducting the appropriate research and follow-up to ensure accuracy
- Tracking, coordinating and processing for payment the Draw-Pay requests from all Fee Developers
- Serving as the liaison between the Development Manager, Fee Developer, Attorneys and others working on current, pending and future projects
- Preparing wire payments and invoices associated with current, pending and future projects for the Development Manager’s approval
- High School Diploma or its equivalent
- No prior Publix Real Estate Department experience is required, but experience performing secretarial and/or clerical duties is required
- Knowledge of Real estate contract terminology and concepts
- General knowledge of legal terms and documents
- Appropriate computer knowledge
- Knowledge of English language, spelling, and punctuation
- Knowledge of general office practices and procedures

- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
- At least one (1) year experience working at Publix performing secretarial and/or clerical duties
- Paralegal and/or contract management experience
