Job Summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure, a rapidly growing division of the Nation’s largest heavy construction materials business, is seeking an individual who is passionate about delivering an outstanding customer experience by having the right products in the right place at the right time. The role works closely with Manufacturing, Demand Planning, Customer Service, and Sales organization to understand capacity requirements and builds a comprehensive network level production plan for business.

Job Location

This role is located in our plant out of Mansfield, TX.

Job Responsibilities

  • Serves as primary point of contact for Customer Service, Sales, Demand Planning, and Manufacturing on incoming & active orders
  • Collaborates with Plant Schedulers in network to build individual schedules for each individual plant to optimize production
  • Ownership and maintenance of Capacity Tools needed to maintain operation efficiencies and standardize planning practices across the network
  • Compares current orders with available inventory to expedite production and utilization of available stock; Issues and maintains work orders where required
  • Schedules production based on product mix and provides accurate customer commitment dates based on cell level capacities and targeted customer lead times
  • Works with plant level schedulers to plan production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing and assembly of products
  • Determines promise dates based on customer requirements and the ability of manufacturing to achieve daily production levels; Prioritizing production operations to ensure maximum production performance and minimum production delays
  • Monitor execution of individual plants through retrieval, input, and utilization of data from management reporting systems such as NetSuite, Tableau, and SAP
  • Partner with Demand Planning to determine whether customer requirements can be fulfilled based on production capabilities, develop alternatives to satisfy customer requirements when necessary
  • Investigates causes of significant discrepancies of finished goods inventory to prevent reoccurrence, limit over-runs
  • Identifies potential slow moving finished good inventory for review and disposition
  • Maintains adequate inventories to support operations while minimizing inventory investments

Job Requirements

  • Proven working experience in capacity planning that allows business to effectively deliver to customer’s expectations
  • Proven track record of managing a large number of SKU’s in a complex manufacturing environment
  • Proven ability to develop plans and effectively communicating recommendations
  • Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization
  • Familiarity working in ERP systems; NetSuite/SAP experience preferred
  • Data mining and analytical skills with an above average proficiency in MS Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • BS degree required. Concentration in supply chain, operations management, engineering or business-related field highly preferred
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a planning or similar role. Advanced degree in related field accepted in lieu of experience
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement and Lean tools, Lean Six Sigma knowledge preferred
  • Highly skilled in Excel and other Microsoft applications
  • Previous experience working with and ERP/MRP system
  • Project Management training/certification preferred
  • CPIM certification is a plus
