Role Summary/Purpose:

This role will lead authentication efforts for OnePay. This includes ongoing monitoring and optimization of performance, tools, and strategies in order to reduce fraud while enhancing the consumer experience. This role will work closely with the broader Synchrony credit/fraud teams, the Synchrony cross-functional client team, and the client.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Monitor authentication performance and its impact on acquisitions, account management and servicing
  • Ensure that the OnePay authentication program complies with the Synchrony Authentication Policy
  • Research and respond to complaints regarding the authentication program
  • Partner with acquisitions fraud policy team on treatments for fraud
  • Preform deep dive analysis of authentication leakage
  • Work with OnePay team to identify and close authentication gaps as well as to enhance the consumer experience
  • Partner with Emerging Payments team on tokenization and digital wallets programs
  • Provide surveillance on compliance with Authentication Policy
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of within Credit, Marketing, Risk or Collections in Financial services, or in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, 10+ years of experience in Marketing, Risk or Collections in Financial services.
  • Experience analyzing large data sets to derive strategies, segmentations, actionable credit insights
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel

Desired Characteristics

  • Cross-functional experience with a track record of leading in a matrix environment and influencing key decision makers
  • Experience with authentication process in digital and operations environments
  • Understanding of acquisition and transactional fraud strategies
  • Good communication & presentation skills and the ability to effectively provide insights, solicit feedback and problem solve with peers

Grade/Level: 11

The salary range for this position is 90,000.00 - 155,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements

  • You must be 18 years or older
  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
