The Position
We are seeking a knowledgeable, mission-driven leader to oversee our Employment and Day Supports programs for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. managing service contracts including MD Works and SourceAmerica, overseeing staffing and service delivery, and aligning funding to support individual goals.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in LTSS funding, Modified Service Funding Plans (MSFPs), DSAs and service authorizations, and nursing/health service coordination. Experience using iCare or similar electronic health record systems, contract management, staff leadership, and navigating regulatory audits and compliance processes is essential.

Roles and Responsibilities
The Director Will Oversee Daily Operations Of The Of Employment And Day Supports Programs To Ensure High-quality, Person-centered Delivery. The Director Will Also
- Oversee daily operations of Meaningful Day services to ensure high-quality, person- centered service delivery.
- Ensure all support is delivered in alignment with DDA regulations, LTSS billing, DORS, and individual PCP goals.
- Supervise and mentor Day Coordinators and frontline staff, support team development and performance.
- Monitor staffing schedules to ensure proper ratios are consistently met in the community.
- Ensure timely and accurate incident reporting and appropriate follow-up with appropriate personnel, guardians, parents, and/or outside agencies.
- Coordinate with People & Culture to support recruitment, hiring, and retention of qualified staff.
- Conduct routine site visits to monitor safety, documentation, and quality of services.
- Ability to coordinate with nursing and clinical teams on health plans, medications, and dietary needs.
- Collaborate with external partners, businesses, and community organizations to expand employment opportunities.
- Manage relationships and service contracts with MD Works, SourceAmerica, and DORS.
- Oversee department budget, ensure funding aligns with approved services, and support accurate LTSS claims.
- Maintain strong communication with families, caregivers, CCS, and other stakeholders.
- Participate in QIO and other compliance audits; ensure documentation, corrective actions, and quality standards are maintained.
- Collaborate with leadership to ensure strategic alignment with agency goals.
- Attend executive leadership meetings and participate in ongoing industry-related training.
- Works with the CPO and CEO to ensure the program’s direction is strategically in-line with that of the agency.
- Other tasks assigned by the CPO and CEO.
- Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in human services, Public Health, or related field
- Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory experience in DDA.
- Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Maryland DDA services, including LTSS funding, DSAs, and Modified Service Funding Plans (MSFPs).
- Demonstrated understanding of community-based operations, person-centered planning, and service coordination.
- Familiarity with COMAR regulations and current trends in supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using electronic systems (e.g., iCare, LTSSMaryland).
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Additional Requirements:
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Acceptable criminal background check.
- Commitment to confidentiality, dignity, and respect for all individuals supported.
- Ability to travel to various program sites across Maryland.
