    PLC/PD BUILDING LEAD




    The PLC/PD Building Lead is a Q-Comp stipend position that will provide support to building PLC Teams in collaboration with the building administrator and instructional coach(es). PLC Building Leads serve a term of two years and may reapply for one additional term. (The 2022-2023 PLC Planning Year, within the PLC three year plan, does not count towards the overall term of this position). This position also serves as the building representative on the district wide professional development committee.





    Required Qualifications:



    • Licensed staff currently employed by ISD 834




    Preferred Qualifications:





    • Minimum of five year’s experience in Stillwater Area Public Schools



    • Broad knowledge of research-based best practices and experienced application of those practices particular to their role (teacher, counselor, school psychologist, etc)



    • Demonstrated skills in the areas of effective leadership



    • A clear understanding of data-driven decision making for instructional planning



    • Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with colleagues



    • Excellent oral and written communication



    • Effective interpersonal and organizational skills




    Responsibilities:





    • Assist with the development of the membership of PLC teams within the building or across buildings depending on individual need



    • Support PLC teams in conjunction with instructional coach(es) in analyzing data and develop next steps to improve instruction and increase student engagement and achievement



    • Follow assigned PLC teams to identify and communicate needs to the instructional coach(es)



    • Receive input from the PLC teams to determine building professional development needs



    • Collaboration with Instructional Coaches and QComp Lead on building and district job-embedded PD initiatives



    • Participate in quarterly District Professional Development Committee meetings



    • Participate in a monthly work session with Instructional Coaches and Teaching & Learning



    • Participate on the building leadership team



    • Focus on the continual growth and development of PLC




    Stipend: $950
