We are offering a role for an Accounting Assistant in the service industry, located in Rochester, New York. This position involves supporting our finance department's operations, working closely with our accounting team to ensure accurate financial record-keeping, and assisting in various accounting tasks.

Responsibilities

Assist with accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and customer invoicing.
Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions to ensure accuracy.
Prepare and maintain financial reports, spreadsheets, and records.
Support the finance team in the preparation of month-end and year-end financial statements.
Conduct audits and financial analysis in collaboration with the finance team.
Help maintain organized and up-to-date financial files and documentation.
Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
Operate accounting software systems and Microsoft Office Suites effectively.
Handle accounting functions including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Manage billing functions and cash activity.
