About You:

We're a high-growth telehealth startup seeking an Insurance Verification Specialist who will thrive in solving complicated problems, enjoy researching to find the best solutions, and will not be afraid to ask questions, admit mistakes, or grow into their role.

Responsibilities:

• Corresponding with a variety of insurance companies.
• Verifying patient benefits.
• Obtaining any out-of-pocket or out-of-network costs for the patient.
• Verifying codes that need preauthorization.
• Versatility, flexibility, and willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
• Able to identify and report deficiencies in the insurance verification department that may affect the billing flow
• Assist with various projects as assigned by direct supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications:

Required:

• 1+ years Insurance Verification
• Experience in the behavioral health industry a plus
• Must be able to perform written and oral communications effectively and efficiently with co-workers, insurance representatives, and patients.
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Comfort with working on a remote team
• Proactive, curious, & creative mindset: being able to identify and report deficiencies
• Strong interest in working in a fast paced, startup environment
  
  

Fair work deserves fair wages. At Valera, we value this role at between $45,000-$49,000 with the potential for an annual performance bonus based on experience.
