Overview

Purpose Statement/Position Summary:

The Social Media Content Creator, under the direction of the VP, Chief Marketing and Communication Officer, and the Director, Digital Marketing, the Digital Marketing team will innovate and improve digital channels and products and deliver them to patients, families, consumers and clinicians and other end-users through multiple digital channels. These digital channels and platforms are aligned with key strategic enterprise priorities for CHLA.

The Social Media Content Creator is a highly creative and dynamic storyteller, dedicated to capturing and sharing the inspiring stories that unfold every day at our institution. This role is critical in bringing to life the essence of CHLA's mission through vivid and engaging content, primarily focusing on video storytelling.

As a boots-on-the-ground creator, this individual will have the unique opportunity to be at the forefront of content creation, capturing real-time moments and translating them into powerful narratives that resonate across social platforms like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and more.

The content creator will have a keen eye for detail and a pulse on the latest social media trends, enabling them to produce content that not only tells a story but also fosters a deep connection with our audience. They will be instrumental in driving digital engagement and enhancing the online presence of CHLA, making an impact that extends beyond the digital realm.

Their role will involve close collaboration with various teams, ensuring that the content not only aligns with our brand voice but also amplifies our key messages. With a focus on video storytelling, the Social Media Content Specialist will craft content that is not only visually stunning but also emotionally compelling, capturing the hearts and minds of our diverse audience.

Required:

Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in social media and content creation

Preferred:

  • Proficiency in creating engaging written content, graphics, photos, and videos.
  • Knowledge of design tools like Adobe Creative Suite or Canva.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Education/Licensure/Certification:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in digital design, business, marketing, engineering, computer science, or related field.

Preferred:

  • Master of Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Public Health or Product Development

Pay Scale Information

USD $55,120.00 - USD $99,340.00

Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
