Job Overview:

Sets up budgetary control systems and documentation for budgets for organizational units and/or product lines. Prepare forecasts, trend reports and monitors cost and commitment to budget and forecast. Coordinate information supplied by estimating, procurement, construction, planning and engineering for cost projections. Reports deviations, underruns and overruns to project management.

Responsibilities:

• Prepares annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for assigned business areas and departments
• Analyzes and forecasts budget to provide accurate, timely information for strategic and operational decisions
• Communicates financial results vs. budgets, forecasts and prior periods for assigned business areas
• Analyzing variance from budget, identifying issues/trends, and forecasting annual results
• Performs quarterly and annual revenue and expense analysis and reconciliations for assigned business areas
• Performs routine and non-routine analysis and suggests creative solutions to improve financial performance or reduce costs
• Updates and maintains project expense tracking system to ensure accuracy and validity of revenue recognition tracking and management
• Collect, compile, verify, and analyze budget information so senior management has accurate and timely information for making strategic and operational decisions
• Evaluates budget to forecast the company's short term and long term financial planning and competitive position
• Works on moderately complex projects
• Recommend and implement budgetary policies and procedure
• May coach and review the work of lower level and less senior professionals
• Participates in regularly scheduled team meetings
• Will perform other duties as assigned
  
  

Qualifikationen

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or similar field of study and 5+ years of relevant experience;
• Advanced degree preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus

Mercedes-Benz Vans, LLC (“MBV”) is a plant in Ladson, South Carolina that produces Sprinter vans for the U.S. and Canadian market under the brands Mercedes-Benz and Freightliner. The midsize Mercedes-Benz Metris vans are also reassembled at this location.

Mercedes-Benz Vans, LLC invested 500 million U.S. dollars in the construction of a new Sprinter production plant in addition to an expansion of the previous assembly operations. In September 2018, MBV officially opened its new plant, located next to existing operations in the North Charleston area. The MBV facility will provide up to 1,300 jobs by the end of the decade and is expected to create at least 600 additional jobs in the region through its suppliers.

More than 130,000 Sprinters have been assembled in North Charleston and delivered to destinations in the U.S. since 2006. The U.S. is now the second largest market for Sprinter vans, after Germany.
