MACOM sells and distributes products globally via a sales channel comprised of a direct field sales force, authorized sales representatives and leading industry distributors. Our sales team is trained across all of our products to give our customers insights into our entire portfolio.

Senior Manager, Aerospace and Defense Business Development

This position will oversee client relationships at target accounts, drive sales growth, and collaborate with sales representatives to ensure customer needs are met. It will also include responsibilities to identify new business opportunities and building strategic relationships within the Aerospace & Defense market in North America. This role requires a strategic mindset to align with MACOM’s corporate goals and maintain long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct sales calls and lead new business development initiatives, cross selling all MACOM product lines to achieve design wins on all major platforms
  • S trengthen customer relationship across all programs and further develop strategic position, including building relationships with stakeholders in government agencies
  • Achieve sales goals and targets aligned with Business Units
  • Communicate regularly with clients to resolve issues and ensure brand consistency.
  • Analyze and report sales performance, market trends and competitor landscape.
  • Represent MACOM at key industry events to showcase our technical capabilities
  • Publish customer call reports, develop and track new opportunities using MACOM CRM software

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in account management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and public speaking skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office tools.
  • A degree in Marketing or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong networking skills with exposure to executive levels in the Department of Defense or related industries.
  • Ability to travel (40%+), with preference for candidates holding active security clearance.
