LHB has an immediate opportunity for an entry-level interior designer to join our Government Studio, with the opportunity to work in other markets a possibility. The hybrid position will be based in our Duluth office, where a supervisor will provide mentorship and guidance in support of your career growth. The position, a part of our Integrative Design Team, will offer opportunities to work alongside our in-house design and engineering disciplines in support of our goal of being the leader in creating regenerative communities.
The Integrative Design Team consists of a talent group of professionals with a passion for and commitment to collaborating with a wide variety of clients in the creation of sites, spaces, and facilities through innovative and environmentally sensitive design. This full-time position offers an opportunity to use your technical, design, and graphic skills to contribute to interesting projects for a diverse group of clients.

Position Summary
The responsibilities for this position will include but are not limited to
- Prepare documents, spreadsheets, and presentation materials
- Produce plans/working drawings, for Construction Documents
- Prepare, gather and verify product information for specification
- Assist in selection of interior finish materials and furniture
- Coordinate with other disciplines and team members on design tasks
- Produce documents for furniture plans
- Assist in LEED and B3 documentation
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited program
- 0 - 3 years’ experience
- Professional verbal communication and writing skills
- Curiosity for learning, strong work ethic, creativity, initiative
- Self-motivated individual who goes above and beyond to add value to projects
- Upon receipt of an offer of employment, applicants must be able to successfully complete pre-employment onboarding requirements that will include a criminal/civil background check and drug screen, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Revit & In-Design
- Experience with rendering software, such as Enscape
- Hand drawing skills
- Experience with and continued interest in community involvement
- Passion for social impact and environmentally sensitive design
- This position’s anticipated base salary range is $50,750 - $64,900. This position is eligible for yearend & profit-sharing bonuses, as well as straight time pay for all hours that exceed 40 in a work week. Offer will be determined based on the selected candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity among our team.
