Meeting Street is currently looking for a Parent Educator (Bilingual English/Spanish) to work 40 hours per week.

Duties

• Conducts personal or telehealth visits using the Parents as Teachers curriculum as a guide.
• Complete all child and family screenings required for the program.
• Meets weekly with supervisor for reflective supervision.
• Able to learn, understand and incorporate the three roles of a parent educator: partnering, facilitating, and reflecting into daily practice with all families from diverse backgrounds with an anti-racist and non-judgmental lens.
• Be able to establish rapport with families and empower them by building on their strengths.
• Strong knowledge and commitment to serving families of diverse social and economic backgrounds.
• Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Maintain and submit in a timely manner all documentation in accordance with the program standards.
• Participates in required trainings.
• Performs data entry as necessary.
• Facilitates and engages families in group activities and other program events.
• Attends Parents as Teachers trainings, and other ongoing professional development as appropriate.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  
  

Requirements

Must meet ONE (1) of the following requirements:

• 3+ years’ experience as a parent raising children through ages 0-5
• 2+ years’ experience as a Parents As Teachers family participant
• 2+ years professional experience providing services to infants, toddlers and their families
• CDA or Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Human Services or related field with 1+ year professional experience providing services to infants, toddlers and their families
  
  

Required

• Fully bilingual (read, write, speak, translate) in both English and Spanish languages
• Valid Driver’s license and ability to provide own transportation to appointments.
• Valid CPR and First Aid Training or willing to obtain upon hire.
