Serán BioScience is seeking an experienced engineering technician to help develop novel pharmaceutical drug products. The Senior Engineering Technician will support an interdisciplinary team of engineers and scientists in developing drug manufacturing processes. Duties will include assembly, operation, cleaning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of process equipment, and proposing and implementing safety and workstream improvements. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in multiple pharmaceutical manufacturing unit operations, strategically lead equipment improvement initiatives, and execute experimental plans with high-level direction. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be capable of supervising a team of engineering technicians.

Duties And Responsibilities
- Assembles, operates, cleans, maintains, and troubleshoots process equipment
- Provides guidance and mentorship to others related to process equipment operation and maintenance
- Proposes and implements safety and workstream improvements proactively or with high-level direction
- Designs and executes experimental plans with high-level direction
- Provides guidance/mentorship to others in execution of experimental plans
- Collaborates with others in identifying and onboarding new process equipment
- May have direct reports
- Provides mentorship and technical guidance to co-workers and direct reports
- Responsibilities may increase in scope to align with company initiatives
- Performs other related duties as assigned

- Ability to work off-hour shifts as required by project needs

- High School Diploma or equivalent and minimum of 6 years relevant experience required or
- Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering or scientific discipline and minimum of 3 years relevant experience
- Relevant experience defined by hands-on work in laboratory or manufacturing environment
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment as appropriate for each activity
- Ability to walk between multiple facilities
