Accountable for the end-to-end delivery of data content and data management capabilities to a broad set of business units or functional areas. May also be accountable for the development and on-going management of data assets or solutions aligned through those same business units and functional areas.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

  • Develop a data strategy and roadmap based on objectives and priorities for aligned business units.
  • Partner with aligned business units to support teams and deliver data solutions to meet business requirements, coordinating across technology service providers as needed.
  • Implement data governance, data architecture, cyber security, and other technology standards across applications within the portfolio.
  • Accountable to LOB executives to support closure of data and analytics audit issues, regulatory issues self-identified issues and other data deficiencies.
  • Partner with aligned business units or functional areas to drive and execute innovation and drive progress toward target-state data technologies.
  • Accountable to build out and manage a data team, including the data delivery manager (at varying levels of seniority), data engineers, data analysts and change management resources, including full-time resources and contract resources in a geographically dispersed environment.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in either computer science, analytics, data engineering, finance or equivalent degree
  • At least 15 years of experience driving data execution, including a combination of the following: data engineering, software delivery, business intelligence and reporting, and/or master and reference data management
  • Expert problem solving skills and being able to define detailed strategies
  • At least 5 years of experience in financial services industry
  • Experience in meeting regulatory obligations and operating in a highly regulatory environment
  • Experience in building a high performing team, across full-time and contract resources across US and non-US locations



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in computer science, data science, analytics, engineering, finance or equivalent degree
  • Experience in data architecture, solution architecture and / or designing enterprise business processes
  • Skills demonstrated in data engineering, computer engineering, business intelligence and report delivery, data transformation, and regulatory program delivery
  • Skills demonstrated in risk management
  • Expert in solution designs based upon business requirements
  • Experience in building financial services technology cloud strategies
