Established in 2000, is home to 115+ experienced attorneys dedicated to delivering high-quality counsel and personalized legal solutions. They're currently seeking an experienced Family/Matrimonial Law Paralegal to support our busy and expanding Family Law department in Brooklyn.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft and prepare motions, pleadings, judgments, financial statements, and legal correspondence
  • Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including assembling trial notebooks and providing in-court support as needed
  • Manage the discovery process, including disclosure statements, interrogatories, and document requests
  • Serve as a liaison between attorneys and clients — conducting interviews and maintaining communication throughout each case
  • Organize and manage case files, track deadlines, and maintain accurate calendars using Microsoft Outlook
  • File court documents, including e-filing in Family Court and both state and federal courts
  • Review and analyze financial records, including bank statements and asset disclosures
  • Coordinate meetings, appointments, and legal proceedings
  • Perform administrative tasks as needed to support smooth daily operations

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in a paralegal or legal assistant role (Family or Matrimonial Law preferred)
  • Strong understanding of court procedures and litigation documents, including e-filing systems
  • Experience reviewing financial documents and preparing legal calculations (e.g., child support worksheets)
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage a high-volume caseload
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact professionally with clients and staff
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with Westlaw and ProLaw is a plus
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and dependable team player
  • Paralegal certificate preferred
