Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Associate to join our growing finance team. This role is a key contributor to the day-to-day accounting operations of a well-established Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) based in Newton, MA, with $18B+ in assets under management. The ideal candidate has strong Excel skills, experience with Sage Intacct, and is comfortable working with AP and cash management systems in a dynamic, multi-entity environment.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices (~50 per week) across multiple entities with accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain vendor records and ensure compliance with company policies and tax documentation (e.g., W-9s).
• Manage weekly AP payment cycles, including ACH, wire, and check runs.
• Assist with corporate credit card processing, coding, and reconciliation.
• Support month-end close by preparing cash and credit card reconciliations.
• Assist in implementing and maintaining internal controls over accounts payable and cash disbursements.
• Collaborate with the Controller and other team members to improve AP workflows and support audits.
• Perform ad hoc projects and support other finance functions as needed.
  
  

Education, Experience And Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounts payable or general accounting experience, ideally within a professional services, financial services, or multi-entity environment.
• Proficiency with Sage Intacct is strongly preferred.
• Experience with AP automation tools and/or cash management platforms is a plus.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, basic formulas).
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-first mindset.

Compensation

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $70,000.00 - $90,000.00. Final base compensation will be carefully determined based on several factors including relevant knowledge, skillset, and experience. Additionally, this role may be eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as discretionary bonus, health, dental, and vision plans, and employer 401(k) contributions.
