What You’ll Do

  • Champion the day-to-day administration of our employee total rewards programs including health insurance, retirement plans, and compensation programs ensuring a smooth and supportive experience.
  • Lead efforts in annual open enrollment, merit increases, and other key HR initiatives.
  • Act as the vital link between our team and third-party providers, managing escalations and ensuring employee concerns are addressed (e.g. LOA).
  • Ensure data accuracy across HRIS, payroll, and benefits platforms, so Marco’s processes are not only efficient but also trustworthy.
  • Ensure Marco’s job architecture and job descriptions are accurate and leveled consistently.
  • Manage and process workers’ compensation claims ensuring transitions are seamless and legally compliant.
  • Conduct market research and market analyses, providing recommendations to help Marco stay competitive and attract top talent.
  • Educate and advise employees and managers on benefits and compensation, serving as a go-to resource throughout the year.
  • Uphold strict confidentiality and compliance standards, especially regarding HIPAA and secure information handling.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and two years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous experience in a benefits or compensation role preferred.
  • Previous HRIS experience, preferably with ADP preferred.

Required Skills

  • Knowledgeable in state and federal government regulations.
  • Knowledgeable about various benefits and/or compensation program management.
  • Critical and creative thinking skills to assess and resolve problems or issues by gathering and assessing information, taking advice, and using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulations, or law.
  • Strong organizational skills to plan, prioritize, multi-task and independently execute projects/tasks within specific deadlines while maintaining flexibility.
  • Ability to work under high stress levels, with frequent interruptions and with tight and often changing deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills as demonstrated by the ability to articulate complex information and issues clearly and concisely.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrates a strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain relationships.
