Status: Full-Time

Pay Rate: $175,000 Base Sales + commission & bonus structure*

Reports to: Senior Vice President, Global Partnerships

  • Compensation rates vary based on job-related factors, including experience, job skills, education, and training.

The Director, Global Partnerships will focus on generating revenue for the Los Angeles Dodgers through marketing partnerships with local, regional, national, and international brands. Qualified candidates will understand the marketing goals and objectives of potential new Dodgers partners with the ability to demonstrate how a Dodgers partnership can achieve those goals and objectives. Qualified candidates will be self-motivated solution provider with the ability to leverage current and new key Dodgers partnership assets.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Proven track record of selling sports on the team property level (preferably) and driving meaningful new partnership agreements
  • Deploy active listening, creative ideation and strategic thinking in the development of unique, goal-driven relationships with brand decision-makers across a variety of Dodger assets
  • Achieve/Exceed established sales goals and budgets set by team management
  • Effectively prospect mainly U.S-based companies for qualified sales leads and call on executive-level decision-makers for new business opportunities
  • Maintain and report weekly sales/prospecting activity
  • Work with Partnership Strategy team to develop strategy, approach and platform identification in correlation to prospective partner wants and needs
  • Collaborate with other departments to customize partnership opportunities for prospects partners
  • Attend games and host key influencers to drive personal relationships with prospective new partners
  • Identify key open categories and new categories as prospective new business leads
  • Other related duties as may be assigned

Basic Requirements/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum of 6-8 years of sales experience in sports & entertainment, team sports preferably
  • Strong sales acumen and proven prospecting, project management and selling skills
  • Ability to create and negotiate customized partnership proposals
  • Prior experience with CRM system for management of sales pipelines
  • Effective verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Ability to interact with people of all different levels and backgrounds in a team environment
  • Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in deadline-driven environment
  • Understand and provide excellent customer service
  • Flexible schedule (able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed).
